$25M Contribution from Cambridge to Fund Green Line Extension (One Response)

The Boston Globe reports that City Manager Rich Rossi has recommended that Cambridge contribute $25M to help close the state’s budget gap on the Green Line Extension. Mr. Rossi informed us yesterday in a letter that he would bring this to the City Council for a vote on Monday, May 9th. Divco West, which owns the NorthPoint development close to the future Lechmere station, would contribute a portion (TBD) of the $25M. Somerville would also contribute $50M, pending approval by their aldermen.
