Cambridge Water Dept. Info on Water Quality

In light of the water contamination crisis in Flint, MI, some may wonder what Cambridge does to ensure that our drinking water remains safe. Earlier this month the Water Department published this “Information about Cambridge Water: A Comparison to Flint Michigan.” The city also publishes annual water quality reports. The most recent report (2014) shows there were no violations of regulated or secondary compounds detected, and that no homes tested exceeded the “Action Level” (AL) for lead (the highest reading was 9 and the AL is 15). The city offers free water test kits to residents.

If you have any questions or concerns about your water quality, please call 617-349-3480.
