I led the ad hoc committee that worked over the past several months to recruit a new city clerk to replace Donna Lopez once she fully retires. We held a special public meeting on June 17 to interview four finalist candidates, and the City Council voted unanimously to offer the position to Anthony Ivan Wilson, an attorney who is currently city clerk in Springfield. I expect he will start later this summer. Paula Crane will continue to serve as interim clerk. Here’s a recap from Cambridge Day.
